The deal on the new “IT” bag of the season

This Birkin and Hermes inspired bag designed by Robert Verdi and the Great Bag Co. has not only been seen on the front row of several runways for Fashion Week in Fall 2015, but has also been a key item on the streets of Manhattan from Soho, all the way to the Upper East Side. Bill Cunningham first noticed this bag on a young gentleman on his way to work for a whole month. Inspired, Cunningham decides to stop this man and ask him about this bag. Reason being for stopping him was because this young man has styled his outfits with this same bag in seven different colors! Coincidentally, after Cunningham interviewed this stylish man, he notices several other men and women wearing this exact bag in colors like taxi cab yellow, fire truck red, lime green, and neutral colors like gray, white, and black. Cunningham made sure to stop all of these pedestrians to take pictures and to ask them how they styled their looks. From the pictures, it is pretty obvious that these outfits were styled around the bags themselves!

I picked this bag for a new blog post because I can see this becoming the next “it” bag. From it’s versatility, cheap price (at only $120), what seems like a high demand, and easy to care for texture, I can only foreshadow it taking off from here! To me, it is definitely seeming to grow as a staple item and can be used during all seasons considering that one color is used throughout the entirety of the bag and that they can be purchased in several different colors as mentioned before. So, there are no buckles, chains, etc. with silver or gold finish on them and we can accessorize as we please without worrying about mixing metals. I firmly believe that this key item is also growing very important because of its simplistic and easy-going look, meaning there are no labels or a big name slapped onto the bag. I am excited to see how this trend will take off and I cannot wait to buy my own!
