You need these accessories in your Summer Wardrobe.

Long time no blog, I know. It’s been so hectic with finals week, moving back to Long Island, and working pretty much every single day. When I was free to blog again this was the post I wanted to come back with! This is something that you can definitely match up with my previous post about summer essentials! Please enjoy!

Welcome back everyone. In this post, I’m talking accessories. From fashion accessories, to trends, and even to convenience. I’ve got it all laid out for ya. These are an essential part of your wardrobe whether you’re lounging in Miami at a 5-star resort, staying in the Hamptons for a long weekend, an unfortunate long day at the office, and even when you’re just lounging around on your day off.

Let’s start with fashion accessories.

1.) The chunky statement bracelet — We always need a signature piece, so why not go with one that really shines? From silver to gold, faux leather to nylon cloth, and knots to charms; the chunkier the better.

2.) Stack of rings — This is to complement #1. Regular size rings and/or midi rings. Make sure they are stacked and chunky. Depending upon the outfit and occasion, you can decide whether they should be flashy or classy, or matched and miss-matched.

Let’s move on to the major trends for the summer of 2015.

1.) Brass — We’re talking any kind of accessory. Brass bar necklaces, over sized rings, and even on purses. Expect to see this everywhere during the summer.

2.) Mismatched orientation — It has been seen on the runways that accessories are going to be mismatched on several occasions. This has been seen mainly in earrings, but you really have to be careful when pulling off an extreme such as that (it’s on the runway for a reason).

Now there’s convenience. As (smart) fashionistas we need to make sure that we are able to rock our accessories while feeling comfortable and making sure we have everything we need.

1.) The over sized clutch — Just big enough to carry all of your essentials (lipstick, money, phone, tampon, whatever), small enough to carry under your arm or in hand without feeling uncomfortable, and cute enough to grab all the attention. What else could you possibly want?

2.) Fashionable backpack — This has been popping up a lot on the backs of celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Upper East Side fashion bloggers like WeWoreWhat, and everyday folks making their daily commute through the city. I’m a little hesitant because I feel like if I try to pull off the backpack I’ll be sent years back to grade school. However, with the right styling of your outfit and matching heels, you’re right on board.
